I think so yes but I would have to figure out how to do it. It can be done though.

I've spent hours trying to figure the following out to no avail.

My banner isn't wide enough to cover the entire header area and i need to attach another png/gif to it. I just can't figure out how  :( The free banner/header site where i made the banner only allow up to 1000px and that's not wide enough.

    Any suggestions please?

Sorry I didn't end up getting back here yesterday.  I'll be on later tonight and have a look back through this thread to see if you still need some help.

      Thanks

Well this is what i need done. Take the right side of my banner .png (1000x180) and join it with the left side of another .png (400-600x180) making a complete banner that will fit in the entire header area (1400-1600x180). I can't figure out how to join the 2 png images together.

Ok, sorry man but I ended up staying later at an appointment than I anticipated and I have to start getting to bed now, but...

One think you might not be taking into account is different screen resolutions for different computer monitors.  I'm guessing you've got a pretty high-resolution monitor and your large header image displays correctly on your screen.  But change your screen resolution for a minute to something like 1024 x 768 (lots of people still running this, esp. at work and such) and you'll see that your banner overlaps the login area of your forum.

I can help you out more with this later, but that's your primary concern when working with a fluid width theme.

    Ok thanks Cholo

I still have lots of other things to do but i want to get that header right. I'll lower my resolution and take a peek.

Edit: Man, i see what ya mean  :doh . I'm using 1366x768 and the banner is well short of the login area.

Have you seen what your site looks like using a lower resolution?

       Yes, shocking  :shckd lol!

If i were to take just one image that is say half the width of the header and center it, would that work in any resolution?.

Whoa, I see you switched the theme, right?

But let's see, if you cut that old image in half:  1366px / 2 = 683    (is that right? lol).  1024px x 768px is about the lowest resolution you want to design for so, yeah, that should work.

Might not look great, but it'll work.

I plan on offering a few themes to use so i'm still going to use that theme. I'll try that cholo and thanks for pointing out the resolution issues. Never thought about that  :shckd
