Topic: How to show recent posts on portal page when logged out?

Hi All,
I`m using T P, and was wondering is there a code snippet that I could use to show recent forum posts on my T P page when logged out if the forum

go into your tp settings and turn it on for guest viewing

I went into TP Setting to check and I already had it set for guests to see it, but they cant for some reason, anyone know why

next, go to the blocks you want guests to view and change the setting

that is set for guests to see to,
I have Left side blocks, Right side blocks and Center blocks in use on my portal page,
I dont have any Front page blocks in use at all, or any articals in use either and I have the shoutbox turned off, would that make any diff to guests being able to see my forums recent posts?

ok this is what i see on the front.. you have to either shrink down the size of your blocks or, just use one side.. on the front.. as for the forum, i see no blocks at all on it.. (the forunt page scrolls on 1024px screen sizes and down)

unless you pm me a temp admin, its been a while since i played with tp, but it might even been in guest permission, in the adm>membergroup  or in the tp settings or the individual blocks.. other than those places, not sure what to tell you without me seeing it..

I dont have blocks showing on the forum at all just on the portal page, I did that by choice, didnt like when blocks show on the forum it pushs the forum either to the left or right or if left and right is showing it reduces the forum size, so they dont show on the forum by choice.

apart from the setting in admin cp (Allow guests to browse the forum) being ticked and the setting in permissions (View forum statistics) being ticked, is there any other Admin cp setting for guests that need to be ticked for the recent posts to show to guests?

only thing i know what to tell you on this and you said you did this already.. unless i can see what it is that is holding it up, im afraid i cant help with this since this is what i know that works. i learned how to code on tp so i pretty much know it like the back of my hand

hmmm, I swear, am gonna take the thumb out of my A"" now and finally go and write my php front page, am so sick of all these portals and their little errors.
