personally, i wont go back to the 1.1.8, and i'd use portamx.. just my 2 cents  ;)

I'd like to try portamx but like I said at your site, I don't see an upgrade for it on the mod download site.
I tried going to the portamx site and see they do have a newer version, .955 and apparently they're working on even a newer version to get rid of some bugs.
Maybe I need to wait on this since I doubt I'd know how to fix anything if there was a bug in the program.
The mod did look nice though.

there is a version of portamx that does work with the rc just look for it on smf  :)

Getting back to ezportal again, I was just looking through my files on my host site and noticed I still have a folder for ezportal.
I tried renaming it and then went back to my site and it didn't vanish, so is it safe to assume I can delete this folder?

so you are using portamx then  ???
it would be to much work for you to go back to 1.1.8 now anyway, better to stick with what you have now and deal with the issues that it has, just my 2 pence worth  :gtw

Smoky if 2.0 was the gods gift some want us to believe it is everyone would be running for it, it has WAY more issues then 1.1.8, and then you have the other small issues of small amount of mods, mods that people use on 1.1.8 not being 2.0 ready or not gonna be 2.0 ready period, and not a great choice of themes for it either, I`m not talking out my my A** here, I have seen the posts on smf people complaining bout it, some posts on here to, a lot on other forums complaining bout it, and I have read your posts complaining bout it, the fact that you complained bout it made me say right off ok wayyyyyyyy a minute here Rob, take a step back from 2.0 and wait and see, untill they sort out the shear amount of endless issues in it, upgrading to 2.0 is taking a step backwards in terms of issues, I would love 2.0 to be decent and 90% issue free I would jump at it right off, but its far from 90% issue free, making the admin cp in 2.0 look all lovely lol is just the icing on the cake, you need to get the ingredients right in the cake before the icing goes onto the cake.

first, its up to the mod creators to make sure their mods will work for the 2.0 not the other way around. and yes the v2 is 10 times better than the 1.18 sorry. too many security issues with the 1.x series for me. and like most software, and even os, you will have issues, as there isnt anything yet that i have run that didnt have a small problem or two, the key is: they all have "fixes"

]but in the end, its your choice, not mine to do what ever you want to do, with your own stuff.  ;)

So far I like RC1 and didn't have to worry about too many mods not working since they're included in this new version.
There's a few I still need to try and get to work with RC1 but I'm so glad this version has the spam questions when you try and join a site and I love the drop down menu for picking something from the font family. Plus being able to use WYSIWYG sold me on this version.
There's even a mod for the quick reply which is nice since I tend to use that a lot.
All in all, I like it much better then 1.1.7 but I only just installed it.

I'm currently checking out 2.0 on a test site just to see what all will work with it and what won't, Lord knows I'm no coder....So far I'm impressed. I like the admin section a lot better then the one in 1.1.8 and I have added Simple Portal since TP will not work with it..Today I installed the arcade to go with it some minor errors which I'm working on..but so far it does look good.


As far as EZportal I tried it once and didn't like it.
The only problem I found with SP is it does not have a script box or at least I didn't see one.
