What changes are in SMF 2.0?

Are there any major differences bewteen 2.0 and 1.1.5? Why change?

they do have a change log on smf you can look at, but the difference between the 2 is very good.

however, if you plan on using tinyportal, you shouldnt upgrade just yet. Bloc is workingg hard to get it up to date, so..

but the difference is that is has several mods included in it, it looks and runs better, even tho its still beta..

wish they would both hurry up lol.. but i can wait..  :dnc

I love 2.0.  It has a bunch of features that makes it like other forum programs.  The only problem is that it is beta so it will change.  I took the precaution and made all my forum changes into one humongous mod with many xml files.  That way I hope I can upgrade to newer versions with the minimum amount of code changes when it is upgraded.    :pcc
 
If you are planing to use the existing themes like most other people then all the power to you. 

To me the best features are karma and then ability to moderate a bad user.   :)
