Upload your smilies to the Smileys/default folder in your SMF Install and then you should be able to go to your admin panel and add them under "Smileys and Message Icons" You might have to go to your settings there first and set it so you can edit smilies (Enable customized smileys:)

You might also consider the Free Smileys mod...it works rather well though it can have an impact on your page load speeds (as can any mod that allows or adds images.)

I know this is an old thread but I'd like to ask a questions concerning smileys and came up with this one doing a search so I thought I'd add it here.
I was wondering if the smileys used in this forum are available for the public to download to their smf site and if so, are they free?
You have some really cute smileys and I'd like to be able to add them to my site.

Thanks, but how do I download those? Is there a package I need to download  into the areas discussed in older messages in this thread?

Just right click on each one and save as. I don't have a package of them.
